Missouri High School Football: Top 10 Quarterbacks – Week 2

Week 2 of the Missouri high school football season featured another impressive collection of quarterback performances as several signal-callers continued to establish themselves among the state’s most productive offensive leaders. Leading the way was Odessa’s Michael Scott, who once again demonstrated why he is one of the most dangerous quarterbacks in Missouri, throwing for 411 yards and three touchdowns while completing 22 of 31 passes. His ability to stretch the field and consistently generate explosive plays helped Odessa secure another convincing victory. Tatum Hough of Boonville followed with an outstanding performance of his own, passing for 296 yards and five touchdowns while completing 74 percent of his passes without throwing an interception. His efficiency and decision-making were among the best of the week.
Central-St. Joseph quarterback Jacob Herring continued his strong start to the season with 258 passing yards and three touchdowns, helping lead his team to another decisive win. Princeton quarterback Gage Fortner accounted for 219 passing yards and three touchdowns while maintaining a completion rate above 70 percent. Blue Springs quarterback Wyatt Erickson delivered another winning performance, throwing for 267 yards and three touchdowns, proving to be one of the most consistent passers in the region. Meanwhile, Neosho’s Blaine Patterson produced one of the week’s most balanced passing displays, finishing with 332 yards and four touchdowns while avoiding turnovers.
Lee’s Summit North quarterback Trey Lee helped guide one of Missouri’s top programs with 205 passing yards and two touchdowns, while Raymore-Peculiar’s Jack Garrison contributed 188 yards and a pair of scores in another winning effort. North Callaway standout Coltyn O’Neal added 206 passing yards and two touchdowns, continuing to showcase his accuracy and leadership. Rounding out the Top 10 was Webb City quarterback Luke Bauer, who threw for 174 yards and two touchdowns while helping his team secure an important victory.
The quarterback position continues to drive success across Missouri high school football. From high-powered passing attacks to efficient game management, these athletes demonstrated the leadership, poise, and playmaking ability necessary to elevate their teams. As district races begin to take shape, performances like these will become even more valuable as teams position themselves for postseason success.
